Picture it: an early morning round with dew still on the fairways and your ball running out under the first warm light of the day. Plan a girls' spa day at the wellness center with massages, facials, manicures and pedicures, then head into downtown Wellen Park for lunch by the lake and an afternoon in the newest boutiques. Stay for music on the lawn as the light fades, and come back Sunday morning for the farmers market, coffee in hand, strolling the stalls with neighbors.
There is always something to join. Pickleball and tennis in the morning, bocce in the shade, a round with a group that had an open spot, a table pulled together at the clubhouse because someone said come sit with us. That's the real draw of this place: an easy, welcoming community where you arrive with friends and leave the season with new ones.
Not every day has to be full, either. Some mornings you'll simply sit on the screened lanai with a cup of coffee. Light spills over the tall pines and palms beyond the 11th fairway, the pond below holds a mirror image of the sky, and the only sounds are birdsong and the soft click of the first tee shots drifting across the grass.
And when the Gulf is calling, the beaches are about 20 minutes away. Spend a morning walking the soft sand and hunting for fossilized shark teeth, a beloved Venice tradition. Have lunch with a view of the water, then stay to watch the sun sink slowly into the sea.
Evenings always bring you back home. The sky over the fairway turns gold, then pink, then deep blue. The pond glows with the last of the color, and a hush settles over the course. Dinner at the tiki bar, a glass of wine on the lanai, a king bed waiting down the hall. Tomorrow you can do it all again, or nothing at all.

Your clubhouse
Walk over for a swim, a match, or a drink at the tiki bar. The clubhouse has a resort-style pool steps from the tiki bar for food and drinks, a restaurant, tennis, pickleball and bocce courts, a fitness center, and a wellness center with a sauna and a full-service spa for massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures. Most days, you won't need the car.
Fairways out the back door
The 18-hole course winds past lakes and preserve, and your screened lanai looks straight down the 11th fairway. Want to play? A golf membership transfer is available during your stay for $350. In the evening, the lanai is front row for some of the best sunsets in Venice.
Wellen Park at your doorstep
Downtown Wellen Park has lakeside restaurants, shops, and events all season long. Catch the Atlanta Braves at CoolToday Park during spring training, and hop on I-75 in minutes for Sarasota, Venice, and beyond.
Gulf beaches in 20 minutes
Trade the pool for white sand and waterfront dining. The Gulf beaches are about 20 minutes away, close enough for a sunset any night you like.

Your home for the season
Fully furnished and ready when you arrive. This second-floor Veranda end unit gets light from more than one side, and you step in through your own private front lanai. The open kitchen, dining, and living area leads to the screened back lanai overlooking the 11th fairway. The primary suite has a king bed, a fairway-view window, a walk-in closet, and a bath with a double vanity and walk-in shower. There's also a second bedroom with its own king bed, a flex room with a sofa for extra guests or a home office, in-unit laundry, and a single-car garage for your car, clubs, and beach gear.
